Aliy Brebner
Since 2007, Aliy’s students have been very successful at the Gold level from training up through the FEI levels including the reserve rider for the 2014 Ontario Young Riders Dressage Team, Dressage Canada award winners and CADORA Champions. In 2010, Aliy was selected as the Competition Coach Specialist Demo Coach at the Equestrian Canada National Coaching Symposium and in 2013 and 2014 acted as the Sh Chef d’Equipe for the Canada East Team at the North American Junior Young Rider Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.
When she’s not riding or coaching, Aliy enjoys spending time with her husband Carney, Golden Retrievers Prudence and Georgia, golfing and a good glass of wine.
Alison Brebner began riding at an early age, first beginning her competitive career in horse trials in Ontario on her Thoroughbred gelding, Northern Touch. From there, Aliy started training with 1996 Olympic show jumping team member Chris Delia in Oakville Ontario, competing her own horse as well as others in the hunter, jumper and equitation divisions.
Shortly after, Aliy received her Equestrian Canada coaching status and moved to dressage, competing in the FEI Young Rider division on the Oldenburg gelding Daneel and continued competing both her own horse Halston and client horses up through the FEI levels. Aliy is now focused on developing her lovely Hanoverian gelding Don Quorleone (Don Frederico x Ehrentusch) owned by Balmoral Investments and continues to train with top coaches.
